Winsford’s Hebden Green Community School Wins Cheshire Final
A team from Hebden Green Community School in Winsford has won the Cheshire Final of the Consumer Challenge Quiz.
The team – Thomas, Mark, Phillip and Ashley - will now represent the county in the national final where they will compete against other teams from across the UK.
The event is aimed at students with moderate learning difficulties and was organised by Cheshire Trading Standards.
Executive Member for Community and Communications Nora Dolphin said: “Teams are tested on a wide variety of topics such as age related sales, food and drink and consumer law.
“It was a closely fought contest against three other Cheshire schools and the triumphant team was Hebden Green. |

Said Headteacher Andrew Farren: “We are obviously delighted by the team’s success and it is great being back in the national finals once again.”
