A new specialist court is being set up for domestic abuse cases in South Cheshire. The weekly court (in Crewe) will sit for the first time on Monday September 15th. It will comprise of magistrates who have received specialist domestic abuse awareness training and aims to make the legal process less traumatic for victims of abuse, as well as being much more speedy, with less than 6 weeks from charge to court appearance.
